Perspective, Insight, and Discipline
At the heart of our success lies a relentless focus on seeing how investments today will bear fruit today, as well as tomorrow and in the future. We pride ourselves on taking both a short-term and a long-term perspective.
Maintaining the discipline to keep the near and far future in mind is what differentiates Ross Asset Advisors.
A Short-Term Perspective
For clients who want to feel entirely in control, or who want income today, a sound short-term perspective is what matters. If the next five years matters to you, then it matters to us.
We have many clients for whom the “long term” may mean 2020. We help retirees meet today’s goals when it counts: today. You do not have to accept unnecessary risk to achieve returns above 7%.
A Long-Term Perspective
Younger clients, and clients with multi-generational concerns will want to take a long-term perspective on wealth creation. For clients of Ross Asset Advisors, this means much more than just having faith in long-term equity performance. We prefer to navigate cautiously through what we see as a difficult future for our debt-ridden planet.
Our focus on high-yield fixed-income gives clients the confidence that can come only from seeing continuous, steady growth. This confidence translates into greater certainly about meeting life goals in a specified time range. Much better to have confidence in where you will be in 10 or 20 years than to hang your future on hopes for a brigher future environment for equities.
“Do No Harm”
Most investment tragedies start with the best intentions: a belief that risk today will result in reward tomorrow. When clouds appear on the horizon and investments start dropping in value, investors are told to wait it out. At that point, regrets are too late, and investors feel terrible pressure.
Our goal is to avoid these situations entirely. Investing should be like planting a garden, not like watching a child play with a yo-yo.
Work smarter and harder
A focus on high-yield fixed-income as the foundation for growth of wealth is more work than simple asset allocation strategies.
We put in the extra work because it pays off for our clients. Through our diligence we are able to keep yields high with less risk.
As the pace of investing accelerates, professionals who want to over-deliver for clients must work smarter and harder. Fortunately, we enjoy what we do!
